Arsenal could join a host of clubs who are interested in Ajax forward David Neres, according to reports.

The Brazilian only joined Ajax last season, but could soon be on the move again. That’s if Calciomercato’s report is anything to go by.

They claim that AC Milan and Juventus are now interested in the player, who was already being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. However, Ajax are unwilling to sell the 20-year-old in January and will only consider bids during the summer.

Neres, who is being dubbed the “new Neymar” in his homeland of Brazil, has eight goals and 11 assists in the Eredivisie this season. He joined Ajax from Sao Paulo for £11m last summer.

Such form is evidently interesting several teams. Arsenal’s interest would make sense, given they could lose Alexis Sanchez soon. Neres isn’t an established performer just yet, but seems to be an exciting talent.

However, with so many clubs interested, Arsenal might have to pay a very high fee to land him. Calciomercato believe he’s already valued at around £22m, but that could increase if other clubs decide to make a bid.
