Ian Wright was full of praise for Mesut Ozil after his performance against Huddersfield last night, calling the midfielder “beautiful to watch”.

The 29-year-old had a splendid game, as he set-up two and scored one in a 5-0 thrashing.

Whatever caused him to miss the game against Burnley clearly wasn’t bothering him anymore, as he looked very sharp throughout the game.

Ian Wright said he looked “energised”, and claimed he was simply too good for a team like Huddersfield to handle.

“Ozil, against this kind of opposition, was just too good today,” Wright said, reports the Express. “He was everywhere, energised and fantastic. The boy has got so much ability. He is such a beautiful player to watch.”

The 29-year-old now has two goals and five assists in the Premier League this season. It’s been a stop-start season for him as a combination of injuries and illnesses have prevented him from putting a run of games together.

His last two performances, though, have been excellent. He wasn’t as creative against Tottenham but impressed many with his work rate and discipline.

Against Huddersfield, he continued to work hard and completely changed the game with his play in the second half.

Just as Arsenal had grown sloppy and were struggling to add to their lead, he came to life and made two goals within minutes of each other.

We’ll now see if he can put in another quality performance against Manchester United on Saturday.
