Arsene Wenger has delivered the latest Arsenal team news ahead of their Europa League clash against FC Cologne on Thursday evening.
Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of the Gunners’ second clash of the campaign against FC Cologne.
The boss has revealed that Danny Welbeck, who has been sidelined since October with a groin strain, should be available for the European game. Although Wenger didn’t confirm that the England striker would 100% start.
Wenger says Welbeck has a chance to start tomorrow: "For me he is a striker who had top physical qualities. He is a team player as well. He is top class striker and on top of that he is loved by everybody in the squad."

The FC Cologne match might be a good way to introduce Welbz back to the startling line-up after back-to-back injuries, since he won’t be Premier League match-fit just yet.
Santi Cazorla (ankle) is still out. While Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott apparently didn’t train, which further points to Welbz getting the nod on Thursday night.
Despite the likelihood of the boss fielding a vastly different starting XI to the one we saw beat Spurs 2-0 at the weekend, we need to keep momentum. Just because we’ve already qualified for the next round doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be fighting for a win.
FC Cologne have lost their last three Bundesliga matches in a row so they’ll either be low on confidence or ready to prove a point.
