David Moyes is taking over at West Ham and Arsene Wenger is probably pretty pleased.
Wenger’s not only played against Moyes more than any other manager, he’s also beaten him more than anyone else as well.
In 27 run-ins, the Frenchman has won 16 of them. Moyes has won just four. Although it’s notable that the Scotsman lost 15 against Sir Alex Ferguson and they faced each other four fewer times.
Still, it’ll be nice for Arsenal to have someone they know they can beat in the league.
West Ham have sacked Slaven Bilic after the Hammers’ disastrous start to their 2017/18 campaign. They’re currently 18th in the Premier League table after winning just two games out of the 11 played. They’ve lost six and only managed to score 11 goals.

Moyes seems like an odd appointment as he was in charge of Sunderland when they were relegated for the first time in 10 years last season. Therefore, he doesn’t appear to be the most qualified to save West Ham this term.
By the looks of things over on Twitter, fans of the East London team feel that by bringing him in, they’ve accepted relegation this season and are showing a lack of ambition. Meanwhile, the rest of the Premier League laughs.
This just shows a lack of ambition and promise for the club. Panic appointment, relegation confirmed.

What kind of tomfoolery is sacking Bilic and appointing Moyes? Pardew would have been better than him! #Terrible 😂

This team need a new name with new ways of doing thing, not this old name with the same old strategies. It means the club do not want to go anywhere. Trust me, they will fire Moyes in 5 games….

The Hammers have only brought the 54-year-old in until the end of the season.
