Tyreece John-Jules is developing quickly in Arsenal’s youth system.

It seems there is another highly promising striker is coming through the Arsenal ranks.

16-year-old Tyreece John-Jules has caught the eye recently after making the step-up to u23 level.

With several of Arsenal’s u23 regulars on first team duty in the Europa League, head coach Steve Gatting has been calling upon several u18 players.

One of those players is John-Jules, who started Arsenal’s u23 game against Swansea last Monday, although he was missing from both the u18 and u23 squads this weekend.

A depleted Arsenal team struggled on the way to a 3-1 defeat against the Swans, but John-Jules impressed with his work rate and hold-up play.

It was his second u23 appearance of the season after starting, and scoring, against Tottenham in a 3-2 defeat last month.

Prior to that, he had only featured three times for the u18 side, scoring three times and getting an assist.

His quick rise was marked by a call-up to first team training during the recent international break.

With several young players getting opportunities in the cup this year, first team involvement still seems a long way off for him.

However, he seems to be making rapid strides forwards. It wouldn’t be surprising if we heard more about this young forward this season.
