Mo Farah has split with American coach Alberto Salazar to return to London, and says he can’t wait to be back in the Emirates Stadium.

Farah is a four-time Olympic Gold medal winner, having won the 5,000m and 10,000m in 2012 and 2016. He’s also famously an Arsenal fan, and often talks about the Gunners in post-race interviews.

Now that he’s split with his former coach to join up with Gary Lough, he will live in London again, a prospect he is very excited about. Speaking Twitter (via Evening Standard), Mo said: “I can’t wait to be back home and can’t wait to see my team Arsenal at the Emirates.”

I’m not surprised Mo is excited to be watching his team again, as he really does take every opportunity to give a mention to the club and the fans.

After he won the 10,000m at the World Championships in August, Mo gave an interview about the win, and couldn’t help himself giving a shout-out to the Arsenal fans at the end, saying “thank you to all my Arsenal fans, and I think the big boss (Wenger) was watching me out here”.

I’m sure there’s nothing better for local Arsenal fans than to see someone so impressively representing their country whilst also proudly showing his support for the team.

Arsenal’s next league home game is against Spurs, hopefully Farah can get some tickets and bring the Gunners some luck.
