Paris St. Germain are now favourites to sign Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Alexis Sanchez won’t be getting his destined move to Manchester City.

At least, that’s what the Mirror are claiming. They say that French club Paris St. Germain are now the favourites to sign the Chilean, as they’ve “earmarked” him as a replacement for Neymar.

In the Mirror’s bizarre world of transfers, PSG are about to sell Neymar due to the “uncertainty” around him.

There have been reports of the Brazilian not getting on with teammates and manager Unai Emery, so the Mirror have concluded that PSG will sell their world record signing to Real Madrid.

Replacing him would be Alexis Sanchez, who they can sign for free in the summer.

Putting aside this weird reasoning, PSG’s reported interest has been around since the summer.

Given the quality they have up front, they arguably don’t need Alexis at all.

The same could be said for Manchester City, but they’re not about to pass up a chance to deprive one of their rivals of their star player.

Alexis going abroad to PSG would suit Arsenal just fine.

However, if it takes Neymar joining Real Madrid for it to happen, I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
