Chile’s 2018 shirt has leaked early, ahead of its March release date.

According to footyheadlines.com, the kit was supposed to be released with all the other Nike kits, next year.

But the new design leaked, and revealed a plain red design, without any graphics, or stripes.

The collar is blue, and the Nike tick and Chile badge are of course present, but other than that only faint lines on the sleeves break up the red.

So this is reportedly the kit that Alexis Sanchez will be wearing for his country next year, although he won’t be wearing it to the World Cup. Chile failed to qualify for the competition in Russia next summer, finishing just two goals behind Peru in the play-off places.

In place of the two-time Copa America winners, Peru will be making their first appearance at the tournament since 1982. Nonetheless, Chile will still have matches to play, and Alexis Sanchez will have chances to add to his tally with his country.

Earlier this year, the Chilean became his country’s record goalscorer, after netting against Germany in the Confederations Cup. Unfortunately for him, Germany equalised that day, and went on to beat Chile in the final of the competition.

Maybe this new kit will bring them more luck.
