Sead Kolašinac has won the Arsenal Player of the Month award for October, after an impressive month from the Bosnian.

Despite Nacho Monreal winning the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for the entire league, Kolašinac edged the Spaniard out in the Gunners’ poll, taking 50% of the overall vote. The other contenders were Monreal, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez.

In October, Kolašinac scored and assisted to help Arsenal turn defeat into victory against Swansea, after the team conceded to a Sam Clucas strike in the first half. He performed consistently well over the month, and hardly made a mistake throughout.

As a result, the fans voted him as Player of the Month for the second time in three months, after the former Schalke left-back also won the award for August.

Overall, Kolašinac has contributed six goals for Arsenal in his 12 games since joining the club. Not only is his goal contribution very impressive for a wing-back, it also leaves him joint-top with Alexandre Lacazette this season.

It’s certainly a positive to have wing-backs getting involved offensively as much as possible, and his defensive performances are reassuring that he can do both sides of the game.

Congratulations to Sead on this latest award!
