Arsenal fans are excited with what the future holds after Raul Sanllehi was appointed Head of Football Relations.

The former Barcelona Director of Football has a fantastic reputation for brokering big-money deals for the Catalan giants, and now supporters are hoping Sanllehi can help convince the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to stay.

Many fans also speculated that Arsenal may be planning for a future after Arsene Wenger next summer, which would highlight why so many changes have been made now. But the club nor Wenger would admit such a thing, so these suggestions are unsubstantiated.

The Gunners had been linked with Sanllehi all summer, and now the possibilities are endless with such a crack team behind the scenes. Chief executive Ivan Gazidis has come away with a lot of credit from supporters for his work to bring in changes that he promised in the summer.

Arsenal have experienced heads negotiating deals, top scouting talent and people working on existing contracts, let alone two new faces in the coaching ranks. It’s worth pointing out, however, that Sanllehi won’t join the London club until February, so his influence may only be felt in the summer transfer window.
