Jack Wilshere could finally make his first Premier League start against Huddersfield on Wednesday night.

Jack is yet to make a single start in the Premier League this season and has only featured for a combined 48 minutes over three appearances in the competition so far. However, the 25-year-old could be in line to finally get the nod against Huddersfield Town mid-week.

Mesut Ozil missed the Burnley clash on Sunday through illness and while Arsene Wenger claims he’ll face a late assessment, the chances are the boss could save him for the weekend clash against Manchester United instead.

Alex Iwobi is also sidelined with a dead leg and Danny Welbeck tends to struggle creating chances. The striker is also only just returning from two groin injuries in a row.

Wenger recently claimed that one of the reasons Jack isn’t playing in the Premier League much is because Ozil is ahead of him. The Frenchman sees the midfielder playing in a more advanced role, which is currently occupied by the German. Therefore, without Ozil in the picture, presumably the boss will take a chance on Jack.

Jack has just over six months left on his current Arsenal deal and he needs to prove why the club should offer him a new one. This could be his chance.
