Harry Kane is less reliant on his teammates than Alexandre Lacazette is, according to Kevin Campbell.

With Arsenal and Tottenham playing each other on Saturday, much of the focus has been on their star strikers: Harry Kane and Alexandre Lacazette.

Kane has been highly prolific for Spurs for three seasons now, while Lacazette arrived at Arsenal for a club record fee of £52m in the summer.

Comparisons between the two are inevitable. However, former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell appears to prefer Kane, as he’s less reliant on his teammates for service.

“Kane is an all-action player,” Campbell told the Daily Star.

“He’ll go and forage for himself, he can link up play and he’ll shoot from distance.

“Lacazette relies on being served the ball, he’s a poacher, he’s like a fox in the box, very sharp.

“He relies on [Alexis] Sanchez and other creative players to feed the ball to him.”

You’ll struggle to find any striker who isn’t reliant on service. Even Kane benefits hugely from crosses from the flanks and passes from Christian Eriksen.

Lacazette has six goals in 11 appearances for Arsenal. He’s got them despite not receiving as much service as Kane does per game.

According to stats from WhoScored, Kane averages 5.9 shots per game, while Lacazette only averages two.

One would think that Lacazette, being the clinical finisher he is, would be up there with the highest scorers this season if more chances fell his way.

Hopefully, Lacazette will be able to prove what a good striker he is on Saturday.
