Craig Bellamy claims there hasn’t been a power shift in north London and Tottenham have a long way to go if they want to catch up with Arsenal.

It seems that pundits everywhere have decided to change their minds over the apparent ‘power shift’ that’s been occurring in north London after Arsenal’s 2-0 win on Saturday.

In fact, former Liverpool forward Bellamy believes that Spurs have a long way to go if they ever want to catch up with us.

“I think it’s a long way from being a shift in power, should I say,” Bellamy said on Sky Sports.

“Arsenal have had years and years of dominating this derby but also the Premier League, finishing above Spurs.

“I believe, as well as Arsenal played just then, I believe Spurs will finish above Arsenal this season.

“But it’s going to take a long time before we really start talking about the power being shifted.”

Bellamy was only laying into Mesut Ozil less than two weeks ago because the playmaker ‘drives him up the wall’. However, he’s been strangely silent on the German’s Man of the Match-winning performance against Spurs.

As Gooners have been saying for ages, Spurs are yet to win the Premier League and have only finished above us one. While they might have a stronger, more consistent team on paper at the moment, that doesn’t equal a power shift.

The difference is, Bellamy is a former footballer-turned-pundit, which means that he’s actually listened to. We’re just Arsenal fans, which means we’re bitter, jealous and don’t speak any sense. Unless we appear on Arsenal Fan TV of course.

After Saturday’s result, hopefully Arsenal have turned a corner and we can kick on with a run of good results.
