Arsenal fans want the club to sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla, after the Frenchman hinted at a future return to the Premier League.

After making his debut for France against Wales at the weekend, N’Zonzi spoke of his love of the Premier League, and said he doesn’t know what’s next for his career.

That led to speculation about the 28-year-old’s future, and rumours of a move to Arsenal. He’s valued at £27m currently.

Supporters seem to be pleased with the idea of adding the defensive midfielder to the side in the January transfer window, taking to Twitter to convince Arsenal of capitalising:

The former Stoke City man would add a physical presence and would provide better defensive protection in the middle of the park. Not just a combative player, passing is one of N’Zonzi’s best attributes, as he currently sits well over 90% pass accuracy in all competitions this season.

He also scored an impressive goal against the Gunners in the Emirates Cup in pre-season, and helped Sevilla to a draw against Liverpool in the first of their two Champions League group stage meetings.

And given the disappointing way Arsenal’s midfield have started the season, it’s not hard to see why the French international is in the minds of supporters at the moment. He could be exactly what the Gunners need.
