Trabzonspor have put a £17.5m price tag on Arsenal target Yusuf Yazici, according to reports.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been impressing scouts while playing in Turkey.

According to Fotomac, Arsenal, Sevilla, AC Milan and Bayern Munich are all keeping tracking of his performances. However, Trabzonspor are reported as being reluctant to sell and won’t consider any offers below £17.5m.

The Express claim that Arsenal already made a £14m bid for him at some point as Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer and sees him as a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil.

Yazici has made 10 appearances for Trabzonspor this season, scoring once and assisting twice.

Born in Trabzon, he progressed through the clubs youth system until he made his debut in 2016.

Since then, he’s made 41 appearances. He’s also won two caps for Turkey’s senior national team.

He appears to be a very promising talent, but Arsenal already have a number of promising attacking midfielders at the club.

Alex Iwobi has often deputised well when Ozil isn’t available, while the likes of Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Jeff Reine-Adelaide have impressed in the first team.

In my view, if Arsenal are looking for Ozil replacement, a senior player who could deliver straight away should be the priority.
