Arsenal send scouts for 19-year-old forward watched by Manchester United

Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to watch 19-year-old Aston Villa striker, Keinan Davis.

Arsenal and Manchester United have allegedly been keeping a very close eye on Davis, who used to play for Biggleswade Town. In fact, according to the Islington Gazette, both sides have been scouting the 19-year-old recently.

The teenager is in fine form this season. After scoring for Villa’s u23s against West Brom during their first game of the season, David was brought through to the first team. He’s now made 12 appearances in the Championship, scoring twice and assisting twice.

Davis previously played for Stevenage’s youth team between 2014 – 2015 before getting picked up by Biggleswade Town’s u18s. He then moved to Villa after a four-week trial later in 2015. However, he only signed an 18-month professional contract, which is probably why Arsenal and United are reportedly sniffing around.

The talented striker made his debut for Villa in January 2017 against Spurs but he wasn’t given his league debut until September. He played 87 minutes against Norwich and got an assist for Conor Hourihane’s first goal.

Davis is obviously talented and while there might be nothing to this, if Arsenal are going to sign anyone in January, it’ll probably be a youth player.
