Jean Seri has admitted that he’s held talks with Paris Saint-Germain, as the French club plan to battle Arsenal and Barcelona for his signature.

Seri was linked with Arsenal and the Catalan club over the summer, before Barcelona ended up pulling out of the deal, and the Gunners reportedly never made a formal offer.

Now PSG have made a move, which Seri revealed in an interview with Le Parisien. He told the French outlet: “Yes, there have been [talks], especially with the sports director Antero Henrique,” reports The Sun.

“If I leave Nice, it will be for a team where I feel desired and who play good football. Paris has this philosophy, to which I am very attached. So why not?”

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere said in September that Seri wouldn’t leave the club in the winter, but these latest quotes suggest that there could be a move in one of the upcoming windows for the right price.

Seri has had a mixed time with Nice so far this season, drifting in and out of the team, and struggling to replicate the form of last season.

He’s only started half of his current club’s league games, and has one goal and four assists for the season. And considering none of those goal contributions have come since the start of October, he’s not having the best time of it lately.

Nonetheless, PSG are clearly considering a move, so if the rumours of Arsenal’s interest over the summer were true, the Gunners might need to get involved sooner rather than later.
