Arsenal fans want Nabil Fekir to replace Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal when the Chilean inevitably leaves the club.

The attacking-midfielder has been on top form for Lyon in the new campaign, scoring 10 goals and assisting three in his first 14 Ligue 1 and Europa League matches.

He just seems to be getting better as the season goes on, as six of those goals and one of the assists have come in the last three league games, including a brace in the derby match against Saint-Étienne.

Meanwhile, Alexis‘ total for the season is two goals and three assists, and he played like he’d already moved to Manchester City on Sunday, in my opinion.

Fekir has been linked with the Gunners already this month, and Arsenal fans are starting to get excited by the idea of the Frenchman linking back up with the club’s current top scorer Alexandre Lacazette.

After Fekir’s derby goals, and his Messi-esque celebration, the Gunners supporters took to social media to call for his signature:

They even called on Alexandre Lacazette to try and influence his former teammate to join, as the club-record signing was tweeting about the game.

Although the Lyon fans didn’t seem to be so happy about the idea.

With the January window fast approaching, it’s time for Wenger to start thinking about players like Fekir as replacement for Alexis or Mesut Özil, because he may end up having to offload one or both of them in the coming months.
