Watch: Iwobi cringes at his FIFA 18 rating

Alex Iwobi has just found out his FIFA 18 rating and the 21-year-old is not impressed.

Iwobi is rated 74 overall on FIFA 18, which is exactly the same as last year.

The 21-year-old, who was only given a 75 for pace, couldn’t hold back his cringe as the interviewer revealed a giant card with all his stats on during a recent video for Sky Sports’ Soccer AM.

“Argh it’s the same as last year! Ohh there’s no improvement!” Iwobi cringed, putting his face in his hands.

“I’m an attacking player but I don’t get goals, that’s my problem and maybe (I need to work on) my passing.”

The forward has acknowledged before that while he’s an attacking player, he does need to work on his goals and assists.

Coincidentally, the Nigeria international scored his first goal of the season against Brighton on Sunday.

Iwobi doubled the Gunners’ 1-0 lead, which Nacho Monreal had given his side in the 16th minute.

It was the first time Iwobi had found the net in the Premier League since Arsenal lost 2-1 to Watford back in January. He’s also managed just the one assist against FC Cologne in the Europa League so far this term. Therefore, he’s not lying when he says he needs to work on these areas. He needs to get a wriggle on if he’s going to boost those stats before FIFA 19 comes out.

Iwobi has been called up for Nigeria for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia on 7 October. He has one goal in 11 caps for his country so hopefully he can continue his good form for them.
