Jeff Reine-Adelaide has suffered yet another injury set back.

The 19-year-old pulled up during an Arsenal u23 game against Sunderland at the start of the week, according to Jeorge Bird.

The details of the injury are yet to be revealed, but the Frenchman was forced off the pitch after just 20 minutes.

Reine-Adelaide has had a difficult start to the season.

His pre-season was disrupted by an ankle injury he picked up towards the end of last term and unfortunately he was unable to take part in Arsenal’s tours of Australia and China because of it.

The midfielder recovered for the start of the season and featured in a handful of u23 games, but wasn’t fit enough to feature in the Carabao Cup or the Europa League.

He may have had a chance to play against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday if not for this latest injury.

Reine-Adelaide is a part of the first team squad and played in the EFL Cup and FA Cup last season.

It looks like he won’t be available for the upcoming Carabao Cup game against Norwich, and will have to wait until the FA Cup starts up in 2018 for his next opportunity.
