Reece Oxford could leave West Ham, according to reports.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and appears out of favour with West Ham manager Slaven Billlic.

According to the Mirror, this could result in West Ham selling the youngster in January.

Oxford came to attention when, as a 16-year-old, he was handed his debut at the Emirates Stadium at the start of the 2015/16 season.

He had a steady game in midfield as West Ham won 2-0 and earned plaudits for keeping Mesut Ozil quiet on the day.

Since then, though, he’s been far from a regular in the West Ham first team.

He made the unorthodox move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer, and has yet to make an appearance for them.

Oxford was linked with Arsenal before signing a long-term contract with West Ham.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal had scouted Oxford while he was in West Ham’s academy, but then academy director Andries Jonker deemed him not good enough.

If Arsenal still have interest, they could have an opportunity in January.

Oxford is a midfielder who can also play as a centre back, and has captained England’s youth teams.
