Stuttgart starlet Berkay Ozcan would like to play for Arsenal, but feels a move now would be too soon.

The Turkish attacking-midfielder has been watched by Arsenal scouts this season and has claimed he and his agents are in talks with the club.

Ozcan, a 19-year-old who’s come through the ranks at Stuttgart, would like to join the Gunners in the future, but feel he wouldn’t get enough playing time if he made the move now.

“My agent and I are in talks with Arsenal,” he told beIN Sports. “Arsenal have been scouting me for the past two years and send representatives to watch my games.

“I am not sure if now is the right time to join Arsenal, it may be a bit early for me. I want to prove myself here and keep developing first. Ultimately, Arsenal is the club I want to join in the future, god willing I will achieve my goal.”

Ozcan broke through into the Stuttgart first time last season, while they were playing in the German second division. He made 21 appearances in their successful promotion campaign, scoring twice and assisting three times.

This season, his game time has been restricted to just one Bundesliga appearance off the substitute’s bench. Stuttgart are 13th in the table, having taking 10 points from their opening nine matches.

In their bid to re-establish themselves in the division, they may be reluctant to rely on young players. Ozcan, though, is unlikely to find more playing time at Arsenal, who have a lot of competition in attack at senior and youth level.

Ozcan was born in Germany but has opted to represent Turkey at international level, and currently plays for their u21 side.
