Laurent Koscielny was in training on Wednesday ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade.

Kos limped off during the final few minutes of Arsenal’s 2-1 loss against Watford and Gooners everywhere collectively held their breath.

The Frenchman had only just returned from being sidelined with an ongoing Achilles problem and losing him again would have been costly.

Fortunately, Kos is back in training and seems to be fit and ready to face Red Star Belgrade.

Although the centre-back may not start against the Serbian team, having him in the squad and ready for the trip to Everton on Sunday is a boost.

It’s great to see Kos back in action. However, there’s always an underlying feeling that he’s one match away from being sidelined again. He’s seemed off the pace this term but he’s still our best centre-back so not having him in the squad has been a blow.

Alongside the 32-year-old was France teammate Alexandre Lacazette. The striker is yet to feature in the Europa League this season so it’s doubtful that he’ll travel to Serbia on Thursday.

Laca is also yet to play a full 90 minutes for the Gunners since the opening day of the season when he scored in the second minute against Leicester.
