Juventus and Inter Milan could reportedly make a move for Olivier Giroud next summer.
Everton are said to be willing to cough up £40m for the 31-year-old in January, despite reports claiming they won’t be returning for the striker after failing to sign him for £20m in the summer. However, if they don’t, Juventus and Inter could move for him next year, claim Calcio Mercato (via Football Italia).
Juve apparently want more attacking options despite Mario Mandžukić signing a new contract, which takes him up until 2020 with the Serie A club.
Meanwhile, Inter allegedly want another striker as Mauro Icardi is the only one they’ve got at the moment.
As Giroud continues to struggle for game time with Arsenal, an increasing amount of reports linking him with a move away are emerging.
Although he chose to stay in north London during the latest transfer window, it’s unlikely that he’ll do so again given the World Cup’s next year. He appears to have fallen down the pecking order in the France squad behind Arsenal teammate Alexandre Lacazette.
With precisely zero Premier League starts to his name this season and under two years left on his current deal, I doubt we’ll see Giroud at Arsenal for much longer. However, it’s important to note that he recently said he’s happy in England, suggesting that while he may not go to Inter or Juve, Everton might be at option.
