Arsenal could reportedly be looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler as part of a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez.

With Alexis heading for an Arsenal exit and Draxler allegedly unhappy at PSG, the Gunners are apparently considering a swap deal.

Since PSG signed Neymar for £200m and took Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe on a season-long loan deal, Draxler has slipped down the pecking order. So far this season, the 24-year-old has made just four Ligue 1 starts, scoring once and assisting once.

The Germany international only moved to Paris from Wolfsburg in January and impressed during his first half a season, scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances over all competitions. Therefore, you can understand why he’s a little miffed at getting pushed out.

The winger could genuinely be a good replacement for Alexis, and selling the Chilean to PSG in January would mean that Arsenal actually get some money for him while bringing in someone who Arsene Wenger has had his eyes on since he was at Schalke. It also means that we wouldn’t have to watch our former best player banging in goals for our rivals, since the main club the 28-year-old has been linked with is Manchester City.

It’s a win-win in my opinion but swap deals practically never happen and Wenger hardly ever brings in big players in January so I won’t even think about getting my hopes up.
