Hector Bellerin has reportedly become a serious target for Real Madrid after Dani Carvajal was sidelined with a heart condition.

Real Madrid right-back, Dani Carvajal, was forced out of action at the end of September with a heart problem, just after he’d extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2022.

The La Liga giants are therefore said to be looking for a replacement and have turned their attention to Bellerin, claim Spanish outlet Don Balon. Real president Florentino Perez supposedly a fan of the 22-year-old.

They could reportedly sign the Spain u21 international for £35m.

Bellerin was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona during the summer. He played for the Catalans as a youngster before Arsenal snapped him up in 2011.

According to the BBC’s David Ornstein, the defender came back from the u21 Euros and told Arsene Wenger he wanted to move but the manager stood firm. So it’s possible that Bellerin could look to leave again. However, would he sign for Real? Or could he once again try and force a move to his former team?

The Catalans signed Nelson Semedo from Benfica instead and then claimed Bellerin didn’t have the right requirements to play for Barca. Would they return for him after being so embarrassingly bitter?

This could leave the want-a-way defender with no other option than to sign for Real. However, Zinedine Zidane claims that Carvajal is returning soon anyway. If Real’s right-back in coming back in a ‘matter of days’ why would they need a replacement?
