Barcelona are interested in AC Milan forward Andre Silva, according to reports.

The 21-year-old hasn’t even been at Milan for long and is already being linked with a move away.

The rumours appear to be an invention of the Sun, who are now reporting that Barcelona have identified Silva as a January signing.

The report follows one of their “exclusives” in which they claimed Silva was on Arsenal’s list of possible Alexis Sanchez replacements.

They claim that Milan could sell should they not finish in one of the Champions League places this season.

They spent considerable sums of money to sign 10 new players in the summer, and may have to balance that by selling should they be unable to secure Champions League money.

However, it seems like a stretch to say that Silva, who cost them £33m, would be one of the players they would be looking to get rid of.

The striker is a highly promising player who lead Milan’s line for many years.

He also wouldn’t be the ideal Alexis replacement.

Silva is a centre-forward, while Arsenal would surely be looking to sign a winger or attacking midfielder to replace the Chilean.
