Goodbye, September, and hello, October!

September was much better than August – a good run of games without a defeat and a draw at Stamford Bridge that felt like a win.

So, what does October hold for us?

We start with a home match against newly promoted Brighton Hove & Albion. We have a great record against new Premier League teams, so it’s no surprise I expect an easy win here.

After that, there’s an international break and then a lot of matches in a short period of time – five in just two weeks.

First off we have Watford at home – should be easy, who knows, but a win is a must if we want to “keep the momentum” and make up for the mess of August.

That’s followed by an away trip in the Europa League to Belgrade to face Red Star. They look a bit better than Cologne and BATE but still, we should win there even with our usual Europa League team. Plus, I will be there live so – focus, Arsenal!

The only match in September I am slightly worried about is away to Everton. Sure, they look bad at the moment and who knows how much worse it will be for them by the time we face them, but I can’t stop thinking about how Arsenal love to kickstart seasons for teams who have been looking poor up until they ace the Gunners. A win would be great, obviously.

We have one more cup game in October and it’s the Carabao Cup one against Norwich at home.

It’s a fairly easy draw, so anything but a win would be an embarrassment.

Remember what happened last time Norwich came to visit?

The month ends with Swansea at home. Swansea are always a tricky fixture for us for some reason so yeah, I am half worried about this but, hopefully, we’ll continue a good run even against the Swans and enter the dreaded November on a high.

For this month’s wallpaper, GunnerBallZ and I picked Dennis Bergkamp – a legendary number 10. Hope you like it!
