Arsenal are reportedly facing a three-way battle with Manchester United and Real Madrid if they want to sign Fabian Ruiz.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Arsenal want to sign Real Betis’ Ruiz but face competition from Real Madrid and United.
Manchester City are also said to be interested.
The 21-year-old reportedly has a buy-out clause of just £13.4m and is said to be attracting the attention of several top European clubs after breaking into Betis’ first team.
So far this season, Ruiz has made four La Liga appearances for Betis, scoring once and assisting twice.
The midfielder has come through the ranks at the Spanish club after joining their youth set-up in 2004 at the age of just eight.
Ruiz spent the second half of last term on loan with Segunda Division club Elche, where he scored his first professional goal against Gimnàstic de Tarragona during his side’s 3-1 win.
The Spaniard has just under three years on his current deal with Betis and if he continues to impress, they’ll find it hard to hang onto him.
However, despite Ruiz’s low buy-out clause and high interest from other clubs, Betis are currently sixth in La Liga. Perhaps he’ll prefer to stay put in order to get regular first team football.
