Arsenal are tracking Lyon youngster Amine Gouiri, according to reports.

The 17-year-old striker has been impressing for France’s youth teams and now has his fair share of suitors. According to latest reports, Arsenal are one of the clubs looking at him, along with AC Milan.

Gouiri has trained with Lyon’s first-team squad and appeared for them during pre-season, though has yet to make his senior debut.

He has been in prolific form for the France u17 side, scoring eight goals in four games at the recent u17 European Championships, including five goals in one game against Belgium.

Lyon have also produced a number of quality attackers over the years. Freddy Kanoute, Ludivic Giuly, Sydney Govou, Karim Benzema, Loic Remy, Anthony Martial and, of course, Alexandre Lacazette all emerged from their academy.

As a result, Gouiri has already been likened to Karim Benzema. Arsenal currently have their own exciting striker in the academy in the form of Eddie Nketiah.

However, after Donyell Malen was sold to PSV Eindhoven in the summer, there could be room for an additional talent.

Gouiri was recently named in the Guardian’s Next Generation 2017 feature, as one of 60 top talents around the world.
