Inter Milan are looking to beat Arsenal to the signing of Arturo Vidal, according to reports.

The 30-year-old midfielder is a key player at Bayern, but that hasn’t stopped reports linking him with a move away.

According to Tuttosport (via talkSPORT), Inter Milan will try to sign the Chilean again after failing in the summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have also been mentioned as interested.

Arsenal have never been seriously linked with Vidal who, for several years now, has been well out of their reach.

Vidal made his name at Juventus before moving to Bayern Munich.

He’s been one of the best midfielders in the world for several years and a number of clubs would be happy to have him, even at his current age.

However, it seems here that Arsenal’s name has just been thrown in for the sake of it and not because they have a serious interest.

Arsenal could do with strengthening their midfield options but will probably be looking at younger and more attainable targets.

Vidal has made nine appearances for Bayern this season, scoring once and picking up five yellow cards.

He recently retired from international football following Chile’s failure to qualify for the World Cup.
