Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly both made contract with Santos over signing striker, Yuri Alberto.
Arsenal and United are both said to be very keen on signing Alberto and have reportedly made contact over signing the starlet.
A ‘source’ told the Sun that the Premier League giants have got in touch with the youngster’s agent after they saw him in action against England’s u17s in a friendly match in September.
The 16-year-old scored 51 goals in 32 games at youth level last year and has been capped four times for Brazil’s u17s, scoring twice.
Considering the forward hails from Santos’ academy, it’s understandable that he’s being monitored. Neymar came from similar beginnings, so the teenager’s being tipped to move on to big things.
Alberto, who has said in the past that he believes his style is more suited to Italian football, signed his first professional contract with Santo in July but is yet to make his senior debut for the club.
Juventus, Inter and Roma have also been linked, which he’s probably pretty chuffed about. However, £37.5m is a lot of money to pay for a 16-year-old who’s only just signed a professional deal. He sounds like a fantastic player for the future but not yet.
