Alexis Sanchez is full of praise for new teammate, Alexandre Lacazette.

Alexis recently took a break from trying to escape from London Colney to hail Lacazette.

“When he has a goalscoring chance, he is a good finisher,” the forward told Arsenal Player. “He’s a classic striker.

“He was a successful player in France, and the two of us work well together. He’s an excellent player.

“I believe we have [a good understanding]. We haven’t played that many games together but when we have, I like how he plays.

“He finds space and understands the game well. He is very talented.”

The Chilean has only featured alongside Laca twice so far, so it’s obviously difficult to tell how well the pair actually do gel on the pitch. Although of course the 28-year-old is going to compliment the former Lyon man. He IS a good striker and he HAS been doing a good job for Arsenal.

Unlike Alexis, who’s only scored once this season and that was against FC Cologne in the Europa League, Laca has found the back of the net four times in eight Premiership appearances. All of these have come at the Emirates, so the France international ideally needs to add away goals to his repertoire but I’m sure this will come with time.

Alexis and Laca are expected to start together against Everton on Sunday with potentially Mesut Ozil alongside the Chilean. This will be the first time Arsene Wenger will have given the trio the nod together.

With Alexis likely to leave in January or on a free next summer, there are limited chances to see him and the club’s record £52m signing star together. We might as well make the most of it while we still can.
