Palmeiras starlet Alan Guimaraes could cost just £13.3m, according to reports.

The midfielder has been impressing for the Brazil u17 age group at the u17 World Cup in India.

As such, he’s receiving plenty of attention from clubs in Europe, including Arsenal and Real Madrid.

According to Globo Esporte, Arsenal’s chances of signing him have increased as they claim that the midfielder’s release clasue is £13.3m, and not the £44m that was initially reported.

They also report that Palmeiras have no intention of letting the midfield go easily, and want him to build a deeper relationship with the club he’s supported since he was a boy.

Palmeiras also feel that Alan doesn’t have the physical maturity to play at the professional just yet, and would like him to stay and develop in Brazil for longer.

Real Madrid are the other team with a strong interest in Alan, and were reported to have already made contact.

However, reports that an agreement have already been reached are premature.

Alan helped Brazil reach the semi-finals of the u17 World Cup, where they were recently eliminated by England.

He’s due to play against Mali in the third place play-off on Saturday.
