5 things to expect from Arsenal’s November

With October behind us, we look ahead at what to expect from Arsenal’s November.

While October saw Arsenal win three out of their four Premier League matches, as well as their Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade, and progress to the fifth round of the League Cup, November has the potential to go very, very wrong.

After hosting Red Star at the Emirates, we have a trip to the Etihad to face the current Premier League leaders, Manchester City, who are unbeaten.

Then, after the interlull, we have the first North London Derby of the season.

Arsenal also travel to Germany to face FC Cologne for the second time, and there are two more Premier League clashes against Burnley and Huddlesfield.

We have six matches in November, two of which are huge, and another involves traveling to another country.

Therefore, as you can imagine, I’m not feeling that confident going into the new month.

So, what can we expect?

Pep Guardiola to win again

I’m not being pessimistic, I’m being realistic. I just don’t see Arsenal winning at the Etihad this weekend. They’ve only drawn once this season and have won the other nine.

As long as we give it our all on the day and can move on from the result quickly if it’s negative, it shouldn’t be a complete disaster.

Now that Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are all fit and performing reasonably well together, expect Arsene Wenger to continue to start them.

They’re Arsenal’s strongest attack and we’ve been playing far better since having them all in the starting XI.

A dreary North London Derby

After the interlull, Arsenal host Spurs but I can’t see it being momentous.

I reckon it’ll be a mundane draw. Why? Because both teams are struggling to remain consistent, even if Spurs are ahead in the Premier League.

While I would side with a Spurs victory, the Gunners’ home record is impressive.

Still, I can’t see Wenger’s side winning.

Obviously, I hope I’m wrong.

100% Europa League record

I reckon we’ll win both of our Europa League matches against Red Star and FC Cologne, keeping us top of the group.

Arsenal to have ‘character’

Somehow, somewhere, Arsenal will have character and that’s all Wenger and the players will be able to speak about.
