Arsene Wenger has delivered an update ahead of the game against Chelsea this weekend, stating that Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil ‘should be alright’ to feature.
This will, no doubt, come as a bit of a surprise to some who weren’t even aware there was a problem with the duo and just assumed they were rested like everybody else against Cologne.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, Arsene Wenger said, “We have to see about Ozil and Ramsey. I think they should be alright. All the others could have played against Cologne.”
Jack Wilshere is unlikely to be involved at Stamford Bridge despite returning to the first team for the first time in over a year. About his return, Wenger added, “Yes, it is good for him. You will see that it will give him more confidence and you could see that he still needs competition, Jack.”
Arsenal currently sit in fourth place (ha) in this season’s Injury League. They have three players sidelined.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have a slight doubt over Danny Drinkwater who has a calf problem. He is expected to be fit for the game.
