Arsene Wenger has amassed more points over the last 100 league games than Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp.

According to stats from Sky Sports via The Sun, Arsene Wenger has earned 197 points from his last 100 league games – more than Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp.

The stats come as something of a surprise, given that Wenger is considered to be the worst manager out of the top-six sides in the Premier League, from what I hear in the media.

I feel Pochettino is more highly-regarded, as are his Spurs team, but he’s actually earned the same number of points as Wenger. The Arsenal manager’s two extra wins gives him the edge in the table.

Last season, Spurs finished above Arsenal in the table for the first time since 1993. While they’re currently on an upward trajectory, finishing below Arsenal before then is enough to even out the record.

Mourinho’s record will likely improve if his Manchester United team keep up their current form. However, a sixth-placed finished for them in 2016/17 was poor by his standards. His record is also dragged down due to Chelsea’s horrendous title defence during the 2015/16 season.

As for Klopp, his Liverpool have been exciting but also inconsistent. For every win they pick up against big teams, they drop points against lesser opposition.

Crucially, though, Wenger’s total isn’t anywhere near Antonio Conte’s 247 points. His Chelsea team won the title with a record points total last season, and is the standard Arsenal must aspire to.
