Theo Walcott took straight to Twitter following Arsenal’s 4-2 win over BATE Borisov on Thursday night to congratulate his teammate on his landmark achievement.

Theo reached the 100 club back in February during Arsenal’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Sutton United and now he’s able to welcome his teammate Olivier Giroud.

Giroud netted his 100th against BATE Borisov in the Europa League after he was given the opportunity to slot home a spot-kick. No one really knew why the penalty had been given, although it appeared that Shkodran Mustafi had been manhandled in the area, but no one was really complaining.

While judging from his behaviour against Doncaster last week, when we had to witness the striker continuously flipping his legs in the air, Giroud wanted to score the perfect 100th goal, I’m sure this one will do.

The 30-year-old now joins the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Ian Wright who all netted over 100 for Arsenal and I can imagine it means a lot.

Theo himself had an odd game against BATE Borisov considering he scored a brace and his movement, as well as link-up play with Jack Wilshere, was good in the first half but he didn’t actually play that well. At one point he fell over just passing the ball…

However, the forward had a whopping seven shots on goal, four of which were on target, which led to Who Scored rating him 10/10, so I guess he wasn’t all bad…
