Paris St. Germain could sell up to five players in the January transfer market, according to Mundo Deportivo.
PSG made a huge splash in the summer transfer market by signing Neymar from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.
Such business has called into question UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules and whether they’re worth anything at all.
While PSG are confident that they’ve done nothing wrong, Mundo Deportivo claim that they could still sell up to five players in January to balance their books.
Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria, Kevin Trapp, Javier Pastore and Lucas Moura are the players reportedly up for sale.
Arsenal have been linked with at least two of those players. Draxler was heavily linked with Arsenal on deadline day, while recent reports have claimed we could be looking at Moura as well.
Any one of those players would improve Arsenal’s squad. Draxler and Moura, at 23 and 24 respectively, still have their best years ahead of them and could be good replacements for the potentially outgoing Alexis Sanchez.
Even Di Maria would be a good option. He may have had a poor time of it in England with Manchester United but has shown his class at Real Madrid and at PSG.
If PSG are indeed planning to sell any of these players off, you’d hope that Arsenal will show a keen interest.
