The season is starting to pick up some speed for Arsenal’s loanees now the transfer window is closed, and Saturday brought another round of fixtures for many of their sides.

The only Arsenal player to get a start for his loan club was Marc Bola, who finally got his first taste of League One action as Bristol Rovers played away at Wigan.

Unfortunately Rovers lost 3-0, although the fans didn’t seem disappointed with Bola’s performance individually:

Meanwhile, Takuma Asano featured from the bench, playing 18 minutes of Stuttgart’s 1-0 win over Wolfsburg, as the recently promoted German club ended the day in the top half of the table.

Two of Arsenal’s loanees had the potential to be involved as Real Betis faced Deportivo, however neither Joel Campbell nor Lucas Perez started the match. Lucas came on as a late substitute for the final 15 minutes of the match, which Betis won 2-1.

Joel Campbell is still recovering from the injury he suffered on international duty over the summer, so he played no part in Betis’ win.

Mavididi was an unused substitute in Preston North End’s win over Birmingham City, and both Jenkinson (who is out injured) and Cohen Bramall played no part in the defeat for their side, although Bramall did make the bench. The sacking of Harry Redknapp later in the day casts a bit of doubt over the remainder of their loan spells unfortunately.

Emi Martinez was also an unused substitute as Getafe took a first-half lead but ended up losing 2-1 to Barcelona.
