Alexandre Lacazette has joked that his brace for Arsenal in Monday’s Premier League meeting with West Bromwich Albion resulted in a drugs test after the game.

The 26-year-old was selected to perform a drugs test after the West Brom game on Monday night. It’s a standard procedure that occurs after every Premier League game, with players being selected randomly.

Lacazette was chosen, and appeared to be in a good mood, joking that he may have been ignored if not for his double at the Emirates, reports the Daily Mail.

Lacazette scored twice, helping Arsenal to a 2-0 victory. Neither goal were the prettiest he ever scored, but they all count. The Frenchman now has four goals for the club, with each one so far being scored at the Emirates Stadium.

He opened his account in the home win over Leicester at the start of the season, and also scored against Bournemouth. We’re still awaiting his first away goal from the club. He should have got it against Stoke, but had his strike ruled out for offside.

The former Lyon man demonstrated great composure in front of goal so far and there’s little doubt that away goal will come eventually. He’ll now be looking to continue his good form against Brighton on Sunday.
