Sead Kolasinac reveals that Granit Xhaka has helped him settle into life at Arsenal.

Kolasinac and Xhaka appear to be getting along famously since the left-back moved to north London from Schalke at the beginning of the summer. In fact, Xhaka has apparently been helping Kolasinac settle in to life at Arsenal.

“Granit’s made things extremely easy for me,” Kolasinac told Arsenal.com. “When he heard I was signing here, he messaged me and told me to contact him if I ever needed anything.

“He’s made it easy for me to settle and of course I’m happy to have a German speaker like him too.

“After tour we saw each other a couple of times, but he has a wife too and he needs to spend time with her. In the evening or after training, we haven’t seen that much of each other, but that will come when I’m more settled and I’m a bit less stressed.”

Just as we lose Carl-amberlain, we’re given… Granit-inac? Seadka? Xhakinac?

It’s interesting that Kolasinac mentions that he’s stressed. Although he’s probably referring to the move to London from Germany in general.

The Bosnia international has already impressed for Arsenal, finding his footing in pre-season and bossing the Community Shield match against Chelsea. He even scored the equaliser that forced the tie to penalties.

However, Arsene Wenger confused fans by firstly choosing to play the defender at centre-back and then benching the 24-year-old against Liverpool.

While putting Kolasinac at centre-back can be explained by Wenger having a lack of options in that area as Laurent Koscielny was still serving his ban during the first two matches of the season, benching the defender against Liverpool was a strange move considering he’d been solid so far.

As we’re all now aware, Arsenal lost 4-0 at Anfield while both of the Gunners’ summer signings sat on the bench.

Hopefully Kolasinac is back in the starting lineup against Bournemouth and his bromance with Xhaka continues to blossom.
