N’Golo Kante believes that Alexandre Lacazette will be a threat to Chelsea on Sunday.

Kante knows Lacazette well, having played with him for France and against him in Ligue 1 when he was a Caen player.

Speaking before Chelsea’s game with Arsenal on Sunday, the midfielder told The Daily Star:

“I think maybe in England, you don’t know him very well but he started to score.

“In France, he was a very good goalscorer who scored for many, many years and he will be a threat for Sunday’s game.

“We have to be ready to stop him but the most important thing is the team and we need to win.”

Lacazette has two goals for Arsenal, both at the Emirates Stadium.

He should have three goals, but his strike against Stoke was incorrectly ruled out.

The expectation is that, having sat out of Thursday night’s Europa League group stage match against Cologne, he will start against Chelsea.

However, Wenger has already surprised us once this by leaving Lacazette on the bench against Liverpool.

People expected Arsenal’s record signing to start in a big match, but Wenger decided to leave him out as he was still adapting to the league.

Therefore, we can’t say he’ll start against Chelsea with complete certainty.

If he does, he’ll be hoping that his team mates show up and put in a good performance, so that he could have a sniff at the Chelsea goal.
