Jordan Nobbs scored a bicycle kick in Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Everton on Friday.
The women were playing their final scheduled pre-season friendly before the Women’s Super League opener against Birmingham City LFC on September 24th. The team put in a very strong performance to walk away 3-0 winners on the day, but the highlight was Jordan Nobbs’ screamer to put the Gunners ahead in the 15th minute.
Winger Lisa Evans crossed the ball in for Nobbs, and Jordan did the rest, scoring a flying overhead volley that got fans excited for the new season all on its own. The Gunners’ support on the day took to social media to share their excitement at the goal:
Wonderful goal for Arsenal. @LisaEvans_17 skins the full back, puts a cross in and @JordanNobbs8 hooks the ball in over her shoulder.

One young fan was inspired to take to the pitch to try and repeat the goal scored by her Arsenal hero (and I reckon she wasn’t the only one):

Overall it was an impressive performance by the team, and Nobbs will hope to continue her good form from last campaign, where she scored four goals in eight appearances for the Gunners.
Jordan joined Arsenal in 2010, although she didn’t play her first match for the club until 2011, as Arsenal awaited the new WSL league.
She has also made 47 appearances for England, scoring six goals.
