Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick has been nominated for FIFA’s Puskas Award, despite idiots not even voting it Goal of the Month or Goal of the Season on the BBC’s Match of the Day.
The spectacular strike against Palace came shortly after Mkhitaryan’s offside effort, taking some of the sting out of it’s tail. But there’s no denying it was better than either Andy Carrol’s effort, which won goal of the month that month or Emre’s Can’s which was awarded Goal of the Season.
