Arsenal chairman, Sir Chips Keswick, joked recently that he prefers watching racing than football at the moment.
Keswick visited Newton Abbot on Saturday to watch his own race horse, Double Treasure, in action and jokingly revealed that he prefers a day out at the races to football at the moment.
“Let’s rejoice in racing. I much prefer it [to football] at the moment,” Keswick told At The Races [via Goal].
When he was asked if it was because his team weren’t playing, he joked “Exactly.”

While I would probably agree that I enjoy doing most things more than watching Arsenal right now, numerous Gooners haven’t taken the joke as lightly, with some even branding Keswick a ‘disgrace’ to the club.
Sir Chips Keswick is a disgrace to the club. The sooner he leaves, the sooner Arsenal can move on. #afc

Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick saying he’s not a "huge football fan" now is just laughable considering the state the club is in. #afc

Maybe Sir Chips Keswick should consider to leave Arsenal as chairman and focus on his horses, no passion or interest at all, old fart.. #afc

Therein lies the reason @Arsenal are a complete shambles at the moment. #KroenkeOut #AFC @AFCAMDEN @clockend_talk @fkhanage @GeoffArsenal

Someone will hopefully shove these comments back in his face at the AGM and tell him to get out the club. Clearly doesn't Love the club

The Gunners have been in decline for years now but this season it seems we’re in free-fall.
A lucky 4-3 win at home to Leicester on the opening day of the season followed by a loss away to Stoke and thumping at Anfield has left the atmosphere surrounding the club toxic.
Add to this that most players want to leave and now the transfer window’s shut they look stuck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain actually did leave, numerous players that were supposed to leave didn’t and Alexandre Lacazette was the only big name brought in, and you can understand why Keswick’s joke fell a bit flat.
Ah well, at least he gets to go have a break from the mess he helped create.
