The Arsenal fans are looking forward to seeing talented young winger Reiss Nelson start against Doncaster Rovers in tonight’s Carabao Cup third round meeting.

Arsenal are expected to rotate heavily for their League Cup clash with Doncaster. In my opinion, it could be another opportunity for the likes of Reiss Nelson to play, after impressing in pre-season and for the u23s in the Premier League 2.

The Arsenal fans are certainly looking forward to seeing the 17-year-old play again.

Nelson made his first-team debut for the club in the Community Shield against Chelsea. He then made his European debut when he came on as a late sub against Cologne last Thursday.

He’s scored six goals already for the u23 side, and now seems to be on the fringes of the first team. And with Arsenal not prioritising the competition at all, from what I’ve seen, it’s become an opportunity to give young players a run-out.

I believe Nelson could start as a right wing-back against Doncaster, with Hector Bellerin handed a rest and Mathieu Debuchy nowhere in sight. The likes of Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah could also be involved.
