After a dodgy start to the season, Arsenal have started to get things back on track. Hector Bellerín says it’s important to keep that run going at the Emirates on Monday.

Arsenal take on West Brom and Tony Pulis in the Monday night kick-off, and Bellerín told Sky Sports that the team are on a good run at the moment, with the only disappointment being the failure to actually beat Chelsea, reports the Daily Star.

“Even before Chelsea, the games against Bournemouth and in the Europa League helped the team build up the momentum.

“We were a bit disappointed (against Chelsea) as we had chances to score and when you come out of the game thinking, ‘we could have won that’, it is a bit disappointing.

“But to perform away from Stamford Bridge, which is always hard, and to come out with a clean sheet and a solid performance was very good for the mood in the team and the club.

“It is all about keeping the momentum going. In the League Cup, even though the team completely changed, I think the mood in the whole squad was the same.

“Everyone came out on the pitch to get the win and we have to keep building on this momentum right now and make it another win for us hopefully.”

Bellerín is one of the players who has often most embodied the general sense of how the team are doing so far, I’ve long felt. Against Stoke, he was a bit wasteful and unlucky not to get a penalty and against Liverpool he was poor.

But since then he’s been on a great run and consistently performed well. All he needs to do now is keep up the good performances, and the same goes for the rest of the team.

With the squad lifted by the fact the transfer window closed without losses of Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez, now the focus has to be on climbing the Premier League table. Arsenal need to keep grinding out results.
