Arsenal are reportedly watching MK Dons youngster Dylan Asonganyi, who has also been linked with a number of other Premier League giants.
The 16-year-old has impressed scouts with his performances for the MK Dons’ u18 side, where he’s scored nine goals in seven matches.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal are amongst a host of clubs who are following him. Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham are also said to be interested.
I feel it seems to be a classic case of Arsenal are being aware of a promising home-grown talent, as most top clubs with competent scouting networks tend to be, meaning there’s stiff competition to procure his signature.
MK Dons, aware of the growing interest in their starlet, apparently plan to hand Asonganyi his senior debut in the coming weeks.
The club currently sit 11th in the League One table, and hope that the introduction of a exciting young talent will help climb the table, one would assume.
The last notable youth product to come out of MK Dons was Dele Alli, who went on to sign for Tottenham. Arsenal do have some connection with MK Dons, having loaned Benik Afobe to them in 2014.
In my opinion, Arsenal should focus on the first-team squad when looking to make new arrivals.
