After narrowly beating Doncaster Rovers 1-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday evening, Arsenal have been drawn against Norwich in the fourth round of the League Cup.

Arsenal are set to play Norwich in the fourth round of the League Cup.

After only beating League One’s Doncaster Rovers 1-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday thanks to a first half goal from Theo Walcott, the Gunners wearily drag their deals further into the tournament.

Arsenal have beaten the Canaries 27 times since they first met in January 1952. They’ve drawn 19 times and only lost 11. Out of the last five times we’ve met, Arsenal have never lost and have won four.

Norwich are currently in the Championship after getting relegated from the Premier League last year.

They finished eighth during 2016/17 season.

They currently sit 12th having won 11 points from eight games.

Therefore, it looks as if it could be a simple enough tie, especially as we don’t have to travel anywhere. Saying that, we also said that about Doncaster Rovers.

Considering the chances of Arsenal winning the Premier League look slim, it might be sensible to give the ol’ Carabao Cup a go this season… but what do I know?

Elsewhere, Manchester City beat West Brom away 2-1; United beat Burton 4-1; Chelsea thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-1 and Everton beat Sunderland 3-0.
